A Rare Cause of the Emergency Department Visit: Internal Jugular Vein Thrombosis

Introduction
 Detection of the internal jugular vein thrombus (IJVT) in Emergency Department with bedside ultrasonography is not common. 
 Case Report
 A 43 years old male patient was admitted to our emergency department complaint pain, swelling and redness on left side neck, which noticed after chemotherapy 1 day ago. The hand, starting from clavicle extending corner mandible, were detected physical examination patient. underwent imaging by medicine specialist. Ultrasonography performed 5-12 MHz linear probe. After visualization vascular structures carotid, observed sagittal longitudinal plane gradual compression. Hyper echoic seen incompressible vein.
 Conclusion
 IJVT can lead complications such as pulmonary embolism, septic cerebral venous thrombosis. These may decrease early diagnosis treatment. It a rare condition Services. increasing use physicians will prevent possible that enable these patients be easily diagnosed successful treatments recent years.
